Island Joes Coffee heads to the Middle East

“We shipped our E.S.E. Espresso Pods to our military in the Middle East a few weeks ago,” said Joe Wells, co-founder and coffee at Island Joe’s Coffee, located in old town Key West, Florida. “One of our online customers has a friend serving overseas and wanted to send them something nice, so as he requested, we worked with our customer to send our 90 Mile Stretch Espresso Pods overseas.”

E.S.E (easy serving espresso pods) Espresso Pods are packed in a food safe filter package and contain 7 grams of ground espresso. There are several reasons for the creation of the espresso pods. They provide a consistent shot of espresso, the do not create as much clean up time, which helps control labor cost for hotels and restaurants, then for the home user, it is nice to be able to pull just one shot of espresso.

The E.S.E. Espresso Pods at Island Joe’s Coffee where created using their already world renown 90 Mile Stretch Espresso, which recently where rated 91 out of 100 by one of the world’s leading coffee experts Kenneth Davids from coffee review.com.

In Mr. David’s review of espresso pods, other coffee roasting companies which where included in the review where illyCaffe, Jolly Caffe, The Supreme Bean, Segafredo Zanetti, Lavazza, Lucaffe and Fazenda Aguas Claras, in all, there where 16 coffee roasters from Italy , two from Brazil and the U.S. in the review and the pods from Island Joes Coffee scored the highest with their 91 out of 100 rating.

Blind Assessment: Produced from an ESE pod on a FrancisFrancis! pod brewer. Sweet, juicy-impressioned fruit dominates in the aroma (papaya? cherry?) with a hints of fir and leather. Syrupy mouthfeel and great richness and depth of sensation in the small cup, with continued low-acid fruit and fresh-cut fir notes. Superb finish: long, deep. In two parts milk good presence and chocolate-toned fruit, though just a touch flat and woody.
