Our family has been roasting coffee for family, friends and customers since 2004. Although we might be considered a young company, we have worked night and day to perfect our blends and roast profiles, which will be proven to you the first time the aroma of our coffee and/or espresso floats into the air, then as for tasting, we stand behind our motto - The Proof is in the Cup.


The Art and Science of Coffee

Art
Imagine the neck of a guitar or perhaps the ivories on a piano - ok - now realize there are thousands of notes on both, thus the art of the musician is to choose the right notes to make up a cord which is appealing to the ear, hence our job as coffee roasters is to create a melody in a coffee cup through our blends which is appealing to your sense of
smell and taste.

One last comment about our blends - as with every artist, such as a Van Gogh, Picasso and such, you will notice each has developed their own style, this also holds true with Islandjoe's Coffee, as we strive to offer original blends which are based upon old world traditional blending and roasting disciplines.

Science
Science as art encompasses another large arena.So for us to put it simply, one must have
the whereabouts to to explore the chemistry of each type of coffee bean being used in our gourmet blends.

One of our favorite science parts is our Oxidizier, which keeps us as environmental friendly coffee roasters.

Since our humble beginnings, we remain humble, at a gas station in the Florida Keys, our company has open a full service cafe in old town Key West, as at our customer's requests, they wanted an air condition cafe to sit, enjoy food and of course our fresh roasted coffee, so we have created an elegant atmosphere, which provides breakfast, lunch and snacks, including our fresh homemade baked cakes and cookies. We also roast at our cafe and we ennjoy sharing our knowledge about coffee, plus we are alway enjoy input from our customers, as we learn from our customers, who in fact have put Island Joe's Coffee on the map. For this we are greatful and promise to maintain our quailty control.
