How to Make Coffee - Brewing Coffee
Always remember nothing is "etched in stone" but there are some basics you should be aware of ....
1) Grind your beans just before you brew.
2) The type of grind if very important - if your coffee is flat then your grind may be to coarse, then if your coffee is overexacated, your grind could be to fine.
3) Never reuse coffee grinds.
4) You use 1 to 2 tablespoons of coffee for every six ounces (10 grams) water, then adjust to meet your taste.
5) Heat - Cold water will cause a flat coffee then water to hot can cause your coffee to lose taste. With water temperature between 195 nd 205 degrees Fahrenheit you should get a good cup of brewed coffee.
6) Always drink your coffee as soon after the brewing time as possible.
7) Keep your coffee brewing equipmentclean. This does matter.
The Specialty Coffee Assocation of Amercia recommends 10 grams of coffee per 6oz of water.
