Making Cold Coffee and/or Espresso for Specialty Drinks - Iced Coffee and Iced Latte
This is the way we make our espresso daily for cold specialty drinks, but if you are making this for home, this preparation tip will last 3 to 5 days in your refigerator.
Lots of times, when it is hot or you just want a refreshing lift me up drink, plus using this tip you can always have your espresso chilled and ready to make your drink on the run.![]()
Use a espresso grind,(order Island Joe's 90 Mile Stretch Espresso with an espresso grind, then you will not have to worry about proper grinding). and use 10 grams of espresso ground per 10oz of water or 2.5oz for a home 12 cup coffee brewer, about 2.5 table spoons.
Keep in mind you can always add water or use more espresso to adjust to your taste, so it is better to make the espresso to strong, this way you can adjust with water. Make sure if you add water to lighten the espresso to remember how much water you are adding, as the next time you prepare your espresso for the frig, you will have the same ratio, thus the same taste each time, plus it will be faster.
Now, all you have to do is place your espresso in a container, put it in the frig and you are ready to make a wonderful espresso drink "on the run"
