Island Joes Deep Blue - French Roasted to Perfection
This is our French Roast of coffees from Africa and Indonesia (roasted from some of the most expensive and specialty coffee beans in the world). Most roast these types of coffee to far into the second crack, perhaps close to 470 degrees, then call it BOLD. You have seen this type of coffee descriptions on some popular brands. Well, this in my opinion, is wrong and to far into the second crack, because BOLD tasting coffee will, most of the time, have a bad or bitter aftertaste. NOT Deep Blue, as we take this roast profile into the second crack, but drop it sooner than most other roasters.
So what do you get .... A true French Roast, which is Full Bodied, Rich, Smooth and will never have a bitter or bad aftertaste. As a matter of fact, when customers come to our shop just off Duval Street and we ask them if they would like a sample of French Roasted coffee, they are, most of the time, very surprised by the smooth finish this blend produces, as most, when they hear the word French Roast seem to prepare their palatte for a bad or lingering aftertaste. This is not true with Deep Blue. We have had customers come to our shop, buy a cup of Deep Blue and leave, then get half way down the block, turn around to come back and purchase a pound, telling us this is most of the most wonderful smooth tasting French Roast they have ever had .... we promise.
Why do we call it Deep Blue .... just wait until you see the beautiful color of these beans. Dark, a little oily and very clean looking.
Save when buying two bags or more ... 12oz each

Deep Blue is about the best french roast I ever tasted that I did not make myself.

Joe,
Thank you for producing one of the most delicious coffees I ever had the pleasure to drink. Dark coffee is my favorite and of all the dark coffees I have tried (many!)Deep Blue is the best of them all. A delicious surprise is in store for any taster of this wonderful brew.
