Only our second French Roast. Customers have been asking for a "High Octane" cup of gourmet coffee for sometime and if you know us, we do not like to do a lot of straight French Roast, as to many roasters use this profile to cover -- well baggy coffee beans. Not all, but some, so we stay away, feeling our double roast profiles offer the full body and depth for a cup of gourmet coffee.

Now, you get more caffeine in a medium roasted cup of coffee than a darker roast, but you do not get the full body, which many like, so our task was to create a cup of gourmet coffee which offered a get up and go cup of coffee without loosing the full body, which tooks us about months to get the roast profile and the different blending ratios of green beans, including which ones, right.

Thus, after many roasts and finding the right beans to blend, we created Island Joes Full Moon - Rich, Full Body, No Bitter Aftertaste and High Octane.  The trick was to take this roast profile right to the edge of a French Roast without burning to much caffeine out, so if you like a full bodied cup of gourmet coffee with no bitter aftertaste and a cup of coffee to give you that pickup anytime - day or night, then Island Joes Full Moon is the way to go.
